§ 2-264. Qualifications of members; terms of office.

  • (a)

    The members of the senior advisory board shall be residents of the city, at least 50 years of age at the time of their appointment, a registered participant of the senior center, and shall be appointed by the city council for staggered terms commencing as follows:

    (1)

    Six regular members and one alternate member being appointed for two-year terms commencing in odd-numbered years.

    (2)

    Six regular members and one alternate member being appointed for two-year terms commencing in even-numbered years.

    (b)

    All vacant board positions shall be filled by the city council. The appointee is to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term of the position which was vacated.
