§ 2-187. Powers and duties.

The Farmers Branch Manske Library Board shall generally have the following duties and responsibilities:

(1)

Act in an advisory capacity to the city council in all matters pertaining to the establishment and use of the library.

(2)

Receive suggestions and recommendations from the citizens of the city relating to the development and improvement of library services and make recommendations to the city council regarding such development and improvement, if deemed necessary or desirable.

(3)

Make periodic reports to the city council concerning the work of the board and such special reports as may be requested by the city council.

(4)

Encourage in every way possible the development and advancement of the public library.

(5)

Carry out and perform such other matters as the city council may deem beneficial to the city.
